Bar Coding

Fantastic upgrade of an old data logic Barcode scanner that failed to recognise EAN barcodes.

Future Electrix offered a fully installed and commissioned solution to a SICK Lector CLV620 laser scanner coupled with an Allen Bradley Micro 820 and PanelView 800 HMI.

Installation time was limited so we built a test rig and bench tested/pre-commissioned the whole system before installation. On installation day all the old equipment was removed from the enclosure and all the new installed. It required minimal fine tuning to get all the speed timing and confirmation the alarming was correct.

The system now offers

• Fully dynamic teach function to learn required production barcodes
• Alarm history
• Fault count for no bar code read
• Wrong barcode reads
• Production counter

Production options to choose to read bar code, request to print bar code from the existing printer or both.
In the event of a failure a signal is sent to the label machine requesting it to stop, this ensures no wrong or bad bar codes will leave the line
